What Is an Intensive Driving Course?
An intensive driving course, also known as a crash course, is a series of driving lessons taken over a short period of time, for example, over two weeks. The lessons are very full-on and are designed to help you pass your driving test and obtain your UK driver’s licence in the shortest amount of time as possible, rather than having your driving lessons spaced out every week, as most learners do.
So, instead of having one or two lessons a week for several months, you could have the option of spending up to eight hours a day over a shorter period of time.
While there is no way for us to guarantee a first-time pass with our intensive driving courses, we do offer a free retest if you fail your driving test following an intensive driving course. That’s our promise to you!
What Do I Need Before I Start My Intensive Driving Course?
If you’re wondering whether an intensive driving course is right for you, you should first think about how many hours of training you have already had and how much more you estimate you may need in order to be ready to pass.
While the average time taken to pass the test is at around 45 hours in the UK, this is only the average and is by no means an indicator of how long it should take you to pass your test - you may need fewer or even more hours. You should bear this in mind when choosing how many hours your intensive driving course lasts for, as some types of courses are ideal for drivers who need an extra push before their test, whereas others are designed for learners with little or no training beforehand.
You should also ensure you have your provisional driving licence before taking any lessons as this will give you permission to drive on UK roads while under the supervision of your instructor.

5 Day Intensive Course
Polish up your skills and prepare for your driving test with our five-day intensive course. This course offers a 90-minute assessment with 16 hours of tuition (3.5 hours for four days, three hours for test day) and your driving test included in the package. Perfect if you’re looking to pass your test in a working week!
7 Day Intensive Course
Have some experience behind the wheel but looking to get cracking with your learning? The seven-day intensive course is designed to provide you with everything you need to know before taking your theory and practical test. You’ll be given an online theory training package (free of charge), a 90-minute assessment and 27 hours training on the road.
10 Day Intensive Course
If you’re looking to take an intensive driving course with no previous experience behind the wheel, a 10-day intensive driving course is better suited to you. As well as 40 hours of driving, you’ll also be given online theory training and a guaranteed re-test if you do not pass your theory or driving test the first time.
How Much Does an Intensive Driving Course Cost?
Intensive driving courses can vary in price depending on how many hours you require to pass your test. While prices typically range from between £800 and £1,500, our intensive driving courses are much more competitively priced than other driving schools, meaning that you can take advantage of our courses priced between £359 and £1,195.
